White Plains, New York (August 5, 2015) – The Corporate Cup 5k Summer Race Series, continues its string of runs through the summer with its last event for the year to be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015.  With a history going back over 25 years ago, this three-race series was successfully restarted two years ago after a ten-year hiatus, returning to Westchester County on its traditional course through the scenic perimeter road of the Purchase College, State University of New York campus. The race series is purely a not-for-profit venture conceived as a fun, after-work, team-building event for Westchester corporations and a chance for friends and colleagues to network with people from other Westchester businesses while helping to raise money for a worthy local cause.Though promoted to local Westchester county businesses, the events are open to all interested runners and walkers. There will be free food, music, and the event offers a charitable component.

Organized by the nonprofit Corporate Cup Races, Inc. and working with the Connecticut Track Club, the last of three weeknight races will be held on Wednesday, August 12th.  The event will feature individual, men’s, women’s and co-ed corporate team competitions.  Runners can compete as individuals or as part of a team, but not both. Teams will be comprised of either three men, three women or a combination of two men and two women. A company can have as many corporate teams as they can assemble.

“These races offer participating companies a way to promote wellness and to get their folks together after work in  a fun, team-building environment,  “said Ed Dorian Jr., President of Dorian Drake International and a sponsor of the Westchester Corporate Cup Summer Race Series. “It’s also an opportunity for participants to network with individuals from other Westchester businesses and to raise money for a worthy local cause.”
